Q -  Do I need previous retail experience to own a Boss Tools?
A -  Experience is always helpful, but not necessary. We have a specialized team of professionals to help you along every step of the franchising process.

Q -  Can the store be purchased as an investment without me becoming the manager?

A -  Yes, but you will need a qualified manager to run your store. We have found that the more involved the franchisee is the more successful the store will become. So we require that every franchisee attend the company training classes in Windsor, Ontario.

Q -  How much do I need to start a Boss Tools Franchise?

A -  There are many different factors that need to be considered when calculating the cost of the retail outlet. Things like leasehold improvement, location and the amount of initial inventory can all factor into the cost of a store. Generally speaking, we like our franchisee’s to have at least 40 – 60,000 in liquid assets (cash) to begin with.  The total amount can range from $150,000 to $200,000.

Q -  What does the franchise fee cover?

A -  Included in the cost of the franchise is the right to own and operate a Boss Tools in a given location and the right to use the Boss Tools trademarked name, manuals and protocols.  It also includes site approval and assistance, with lease negotiations, architectural layout and construction. A 2-week training program will ensure a full understanding of the Boss Tools retail system at our store in Windsor, Ontario. Our personnel will help you open your store and offer you continued field support for 1 – 2 weeks after opening.

Q -  Where do I get the initial inventory?
A -  We have established relationships with many suppliers and in some cases we ship directly from the manufacturer. We will let you know what the current market is calling for and what products you should stock your shelves with.
